Where to start with this most glorious of wedding days for Natasha and Richard who were married in May at the fabulous Eastington Park.
Their wedding theme was all based around cool whites, ivories, creams and grey; a very classy look and feel to the whole day.
I’d met Natasha (a Legal Administrative Assistant) and Richard (a Courier) just before the pandemic hit and put weddings on hold for a couple of years.
But there’s always a silver lining… The wait meant that they were able to save a little more and called me when restrictions had been lifted to ask me to be their wedding photographer. It was just meant to be and I was utterly delighted!
“Nikki was more than a photographer, it felt like we were inviting a friend to our wedding. As soon as Nikki walked into the room of the bridal suite, I gave her a big hug. Leading up to the wedding and on the day she worked tirelessly to make it a day of our dreams. The photos we have are just exceptional quality! We can’t thank Nikki enough for the time she dedicated to us from start to finish and everything in between.”
I’ve been a recommended wedding photographer at Eastington Park pretty much since day one and I love it there. It feels like coming home. A feeling many of my couples say as well when they first visit. Yes the grounds and location are exceptional but for me its always the team there that really make the time I spend there so wonderful.
A: “I always wanted an English countryside wedding and Easington Park really had the WOW factor. I loved how minimalistic the venue is, I love the décor and the “no fuzzy carpet”.”
A: “Rich was dressed in an Italian blue three-piece suit. All groomsmen wore the same, including Rich; blue suits, and ties and dove grey waistcoats to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. The shoes were tan brogues. There was my Dad and Rich’s Dad, two best men and two groomsmen and a page boy.”
A: “My wedding dress was beautiful. I thought I wanted a plain dress and no veil or a short veil but I ended up saying yes to a lacy dress with layers of lace and Chantilly lace and a long bespoke veil. It was fitted and modern bit had the traditional twist with the long veil and long train.”
A: “We met in 2005 when I was a barmaid and Rich was playing for the club’s football club. We were together until 2009 and then we parted ways due to personal reasons. 6 years later we met by chance on a night out and Rich walked me home. December 2015, we got back together and 8 year later we are very much in love.”
A: “We had an acoustic from 2 members of our band sing Ellie Goulding – How long will I love you.”
A: “My favourite part of the wedding was walking down the aisle. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, it was a hot spring day, I could hear the song being sung and I could see my best friend and love of my life Rich waiting for me.”
A: “Rich proposed in the chapel of Windsor Castle”
A: “To not get so worked up leading up to the wedding because everything works out perfectly.”
A: “I am quite a plain person, and my house is very much creams and beiges, I wanted my wedding to look fresh and clean with whites / cream flowers grey bridesmaids and grey groomsmen.”
A: “After meeting you we felt very at ease, and you have such a friendly persona and really cared about our relationship, taking a genuine interest in how we met and what we are like as a couple.”
A: “100%”
A: “Due to Covid, 3 years.”
A: “We had a choice menu. Soup, Kofta, Caesar salad, (starters) Beef, chicken, curry (mains) , trio of deserts.”
A: “Rich’s speech was very unique in the form he done it as a poem and every word meant something to us / me.”
A: “Take time just the two of you after the nuptials have been done and the photos have been taken to take it all in. Enjoy the preparations in the morning as it flies by. To just enjoy the day, breathe and don’t worry about anything.”
A: “It was white and grey and 3 tiers of Carrot Cake, Chocolate Ganache and White & Raspberry.”
