Six years ago Anastasia and Joseph met through their work in the house building industry and the rest as they say is history…! Joe popped the question on the 13th July 2018 in the Lake District in spectacular fashion.
Not for the faint hearted; Joe was flying a drone over Lake Windemere with the engagement ring tied to the bottom of the drone whilst the drone also records the whole experience!
Sia and Joe decided to mix Greek culture with English soul to create a new experience for all involved and to create a special day for everyone there.
Working with Sia and Joe and their families in the run up to their wedding day and ongoing has been a dream.
The groomswear was made to measure and gifted to Joe from Chris, Father of the Bride.
A luxurious wool and mohair dinner jacket cut with all the correct features and a perfectly proportioned shawl collar for a timeless aesthetic.
The wool and mohair blended cloth lends a sophisticated sheen.
From the moment we got engaged, I was on Pinterest looking at wedding gowns. I always imagined I would go for a lace fishtail wedding dress.
Having tried on about 20 dressing with my mum and sister (Maid of Honour), I ended up going for the complete opposite.
The dress I chose was Maribella by Mori Lee. My mother and sister told me this dress had the wow factor!
The dress was a Satin A-Line Bridal Gown featuring a Crystal Beaded Sheer Back and Waistline. Covered Buttons Trim the Back and Cathedral length train. I absolutely loved wearing my gown and felt like a princess.
I also wore a Cathedral length veil with the dress.
We loved the whole day from start to finish. The live band and Greek dancing during the evening created a fantastic atmosphere involving all our guests.
Walking down the stairs of my childhood home and seeing my (emotional) parents for the first time dressed as a bride was a special moment for me.
Something blue- my special girls (my bridesmaids in gorgeous halter neck Sorella Vita gowns) Maid of Honour in the sophisticated Ghost Salma dress.
This floor length gown exudes timeless glamour and it certainly turned heads on the wedding day.

The silver wedding tray at the church which had the Greek orthodox wedding crowns and wedding rings positioned was used by my parents at their wedding 38 years ago. This was gifted to my mother by my grandmother.
We went to the Constance Belle Mare Plage Hotel, Mauritius in September.
We spent a few days in St Ives straight after the wedding at the Carbis Bay Hotel which was stunning, and we were very lucky with the weather.
The beautiful Cotswold stone family home where the bride grew up. It was the Groom’s choice to have a Cotswold wedding.
Firstly, I researched her website online and was very impressed by the number of national awards she has won and thought the images were stunning.
From the moment we met her, we clicked! I loved her kind, bubbly nature and your passion for photography.
Her organisation and time spent with me leading up to the wedding gave me real comfort that everything was going to run smoothly on the day.
Nikki and her team were so professional on the day and nothing was too much.
It was always the Bride’s dream to get married in a beautiful Greek Orthodox church.
We wanted an action-packed party full of dancing and drinking, whilst still having a sophisticated black- tie wedding reception.
We certainly achieved this atmosphere with a split-level marquee, a reveal curtain which opened in the evening to a Greek live band playing, featuring a circular bar and starlit dance floor – best way to kick the party off!
It meant the world to us that some family & friends travelled from Greece, Paris, Ireland and Scotland to share our special day.
Special thanks to a family friend who made our stunning flower arrangements for the house and church and to my father and his dear friend Jose for carefully selecting the wines and champagnes and delivering them all the way from France.
We planned our wedding in just under a year. As a bride with a MSc in project management, I planned and managed the wedding myself.
I created the macaroon wedding favours, the confetti cones, and designed the wedding menus.

Planning a wedding yourself can feel overwhelming at first but relax and enjoy every minute.
The key is organisation. I found spreadsheets and wedding planning apps helpful to keep track of everything.
The fun part is indulging in bridal magazines and getting a sense of the style of wedding you want.
Just remember, everything will work out on the day.
All went to plan on the day. It was everything we had wished for and more.
We went for a traditional iced wedding cake. 4 tiers with different flavours including chocolate, vanilla sponge, lemon and fruit cake.
