THE perfect place to get married when its ‘Thyme‘ to get married – pun totally intended!
Thyme in Southrop is one of the most beautiful places to get married in the Cotswolds. And a venue I now know really well thanks to being recommended by the team here and photographing some absolutely exquisite weddings over the past couple of years. Every time I visit there is something new to see. And every time the quality of the update or addition is out of this world.
Thyme is an enclosed collection of restored historic buildings form a peaceful hamlet environment, a ‘village within a village,’ that epitomises the understated & natural beauty of the surrounding area.
We mirror very much in terms of our work ethics. Its the smallest details that don’t escape our attention. The incredibly high level of client service. And the going the extra mile to ensure that our mutual clients have the best day ever!
The wedding of Richard and Poko was an intimate yet international wedding. Family and close friends only attended and celebrated with this smashing couple. Poko’s family and friends flying in all the way from Thailand for their big day. Both had been on life’s journey before they met one another. And this meeting of love and minds was a truly romantic fairy tale. Leading to an exquisite and perfect wedding day for them both at Thyme.
Fresh flowers and seasonal produce of the season from the Farm and Kitchen Gardens off set the high octane glamour and leading edge fashion the couple had chosen for their wedding day. So many beautiful details and thoughtful moments. It was a joy to photograph this wedding for this lovely couple and their families and friends.
Here is their Wedding Story… Enjoy…
Perfect fresh flowers of the season were set off perfectly against the natural tones at Thyme.
Nikki’s Notes… Our lovely Groom Richard looking sharp in his wedding suit. I love that he had chosen for a bow tie!
Nikki’s Notes… One of the many lovely things about Thyme are the different parts of this English Country Destination. Poko had her hair and make up done at the 17th century Farm House before moving onto The Lodge to change into her wedding dress.
Poko’s stunning strapless wedding dress had a fabulous oversized bow at the back…
Nikki’s Notes… these final moments of bridal prep are so precious.
The exquisite setting of the 18th century former rectory; the Lodge.
Their wedding ceremony was held in the Balcony Room within the Tithe Barn…
Nikki’s Notes… I love this image (above) of Poko hugging her Mum. Such a precious moment.
A stunning setting at the front of the Tithe Barn for the family and group photographs.
Nikki’s Notes… Getting to know the family is so important and we had great fun taking these photographs of Richard and his gorgeous daughters, and then some giggles of them with their other halves.
Nikki’s Notes… There are so many wonderful locations at Thyme for your wedding photographs. Richard and Poko were happy to be guided by me on locations for their wedding portraits and said locations didn’t disappoint!
The Tithe Barn has a real wow factor for a wedding breakfast!
Congratulations Richard and Poko!
We loved photographing your wedding day at Thyme!
