What an absolutely glorious English summers wedding day for Simon and Nozomi.
This lovely couple flew in to the Cotswolds for their English countryside destination wedding all the way from Japan with family and friends, organised by YS Weddings. And our fabulous county didn’t disappoint. Fabulous weather, the exquisite setting of Lords of the Manor in Upper Slaughter, and a couple very much in love. It was perfect.
As the recommended wedding photographer for Lords of the Manor I know all of the hidden locations and the perfect places for photographs. Simon and Nozomi were happy to let me guide them on the locations for their wedding photographs. Showing off the stunning wedding venue and the grounds in their wedding photographs. A quintessentially English Country House Wedding.
Here is their Wedding Story which includes Award Winning Images… Enjoy…!
This quintessentially English Country Manor House has welcomed some most distinguished guests over the years. Including their Imperial Highnesses in 2014, making the same journey to the UK as Simon and Nozomi.
Nikki’s Notes… I loved that Simon had worn a bow tie as a nod to the British side of the wedding party. Having flown in a few days before I had not met Simon and Nozomi before their wedding day. However we struck up an immediate rapport of trust built on smiles and gentle encouragement in-front of my camera!
One of the key reasons for flying all the way from Japan for their wedding day was so that Simon’s Grandfather could be a part of their wedding day.
Nikki’s Notes… No longer being blessed with a Grandpa, that Simon and Nozomi had brought their wedding to the UK so that Simon’s grandfather could be there was such a wonderful thing for this lovely couple to do. I adored my Grandfathers and know that I would have done exactly the same thing if it was me.
Nozomi had chosen a beautiful lace up wedding dress with delicate beading, set off with elbow length lace gloves and pretty pale pink roses.
Nozomi’s Mum had flown across from Japan with her daughter however it was Simon’s Father Chris who escorted Nozomi down the aisle. Just as HRH The Prince of Wales did for his new daughter in law on the day of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding day.
Nikki’s Notes… Can anyone tell where I took this photograph of their wedding rings…? Answers on a postcard!
Before their official wedding portraits were taken; Simon and Nozomi chatted to their family and friends on the terrace.
Nikki’s Notes… Food plays such an important part in a wedding day which is why I always aim to capture the food as well as all of the other details.
Keeping with the traditions of an English wedding; Simon and Nozomi exited the Manor House through a confetti arch by their guests!
Nikki’s Notes… On this beautiful summers day in the most perfect of settings I took the newlyweds off for twenty minutes for their wedding portraits. The grounds of Lords of the Manor are incredible. They are everything you want from an English Manor House. Providing the perfect backdrop for quintessentially English country house wedding photographs. Lords of the Manor does the Cotswolds proud!
Often forgotten at many weddings this is such fun and not just for the single girls. Who wouldn’t want to catch a beautiful bouquet of flowers to brighten up the following few days!
The newlyweds had a classic three tier wedding cake topped off with a retro style bride and groom topper. Absolutely perfect!
Congratulations Nozomi and Simon! What a perfect day! I loved being your Wedding Photographer!
