“Nikki was amazing from the moment we met her. Her professional knowledge was incredible and the results beyond beautiful. She made our day flow and feel like magic, taking charge of not only the very special moments for us but for our guests as well. Thank you so much Nikki from the bottom of our hearts for making and capturing our magic day x”
You’d think that at least in August we’d be guaranteed glorious weather, but no! The 3rd August was a day of drizzle and grey clouds yet nothing could dampen the spirit of the day for the absolutely gorgeous Cheryl and Ian.
Cheryl and Ian live in Canada at the moment and so the whole wedding was arranged remotely. From the very first email communication with them I knew this was going to be a wonderful day, working with the most wonderful people, and celebrating a beautiful love story.
And we’ve kept in touch too which is the most wonderful blessing. I loved the time I spent with them both. And being a micro wedding it meant that we weren’t rushed and were able to enjoy the time we had together and take the most romantic of photographs for them whilst dodging the rain and timing it perfectly!
Of course there is always sunshine after the rain, and I was heading off for the day I saw the rainbow that had appeared in celebration of their day.
A: Cheryl and Ian met in August 2018 at The Bell Pub in Bierton.
Q: Did you have something old, new, borrowed and blue?
A: Cheryl had a ‘new’ blue garter from her friend and old diamond drop earrings as her ‘borrowed’ from her daughter.
A: Ian popped question!
A: It was called ‘Bardo’ and was a very elegant ivory satin.
A: Cheryl’s parents owned a house that was bought by the Eden group (the same group that owns The Greenway) and Cheryl had wanted to get married there. Unfortunately the Eden group had sold the house/hotel but when looking on their website Cheryl and Ian saw The Greenway and fell in love with it. It was the perfect venue for their wedding day and wedding celebrations.
A: It took just 10months to plan the wedding and pretty much all of the planning was done remotely due to living in Canada at the moment.
A: Absolutely all of it!
A: It was a DIY with help and support from the excellent Louise at The Greenway.
A: Cheryl designed the table decorations. Her friends Linda and Jason made the parts for her and then Cheryl created the floral arrangements and put it all together.
A: “Nikki is recommended by The Greenway and I googled also you. I really liked what I saw and arranged a meeting. You were perfect and we liked you immensely x” Cheryl
