As I write this blog in the depths of winter I am transported back to the most magical day in June and the wedding of Georgie and Andy. The sun shone on this delightful couple who had I had been recommended to by another much loved client.
The day started at home for Georgie as she got ready with #TeamBride in the relative coolness of a summers morning in the glorious countryside near Dumbleton. Georie’s wedding dress was from Pronovias; supremely elegant and perfect for the day. Meanwhile Andy was at The Fish Hotel on the Farncombe Estate with his groomsmen and NKP photographer Charlotte, where everyone was to return to after the wedding ceremony for their wedding reception. They both then made their way to St Peter’s Church in Dumbleton where they were to make their marriage vows to each other.
Rev Julia Hook conducted the wedding ceremony at St Peter’s; emotional, full of love, and full of support from family and dear friends. Following the ceremony we all drove across to the Farncombe Estate where Georgie, Andy, and I stopped en route to take some fabulous photographs to bring in the stunning landscape that this part of the country is famous for. When we arrived at The Fish group photographs followed before Charlotte and I had the opportunity to take some fabulous images of the details of their wedding breakfast set up and spectacular wedding cake. All following the muted tones of pinks and greys with brighter pinks throughout.
Friends of Andy and Georgie had brought a drone with them so we had great fun with that before dinner commenced.
Speeches followed before their wedding breakfast and goodness did Andy get a ribbing from his brothers! Thank goodness for tripods and steady hands as we were roaring with laughter!
After dinner we had the opportunity to take some more photographs of Georgie and Andy down by the lake. Whilst they were in dinner Charlotte and I were setting up the lighting to ensure the perfect award winning shots.
Before we knew it the evening was in full swing as they had their first dance as Mr and Mrs.
I’m absolutely thrilled that all three of the images submitted from this wedding have won industry awards!
