A mid autumn wedding at Glenfall House was the setting for the most magical day for Jules and Dan early this November. I absolutely love that they embraced the spectacular colours of a British autumn and brought so many of their own personal touches to the day from the pom pom necklaces and bracelets for everyone (we even had our own as photographers which we were chuffed to bits with!) to the Gromit table centres, the Halloween pumpkins carved with messages of love and celebration, and even their favourite Sibling Gin got a look in with empty bottle filled with twinkling lights on the staircase in the evening.
Jules and Dan had chosen to have a very chilled wedding day and the day itself although run to precision by the team at Glenfall and Nikki Kirk Photography, felt relaxed and had a calm natural flow to it. Dan and Jules walked into the ceremony room together holding hands and gave a wave to their friends watching the wedding ceremony from the other side of the world. Once the serious part was completed Dan and Jules walked out of the picturesque glass doors through bubbles blown by their guests before indulging in canapes and warming mulled wine served by the ever fabulous Napier team.
Although it was a seriously chilly day Jules and Dan and their guests stayed outside in the winter sunshine as we took the photographs to capture their special day forever for them.
After dinner had been served and eaten guests were treated to a macaroon tower and wedding cake and then the dancing began! Petty Heggler’s Tump were on hand to get the party started and boy did they do just that!
We’ve also had some lovely feedback from this fabulous couple:
To Nikki & David
Thank you so much for all the hard work in taking the photographs at our wedding. We knew as soon as we met you Nikki that we would not want anyone else with us on the day.
From going along with, and embracing some crazy ideas, to standing outside in the freezing November eve to get the perfect shot of us, the whole process was just wonderful. Your professionalism, organisation of our timetable and eye for a great shot were amazing, and we we know that the photos will be a terrific report of the day.
It was the little kind touches that were so lovely as well, from arranging the fire to be lit for Grandma because she was cold, to ensuring that Jules had a blanket for the night shot outside. We were really touched.
We have had so many compliments since the wedding about you both, and a few people have expressed surprise that you weren’t friends of ours. I expect there will be many more when they see the photographs.
Thank you so, so much for being a massive part of our day.
Lots of love
Jules & Dan
