A Christmas wedding! Oh how we adore Christmas at NKP and were absolutely delighted to photograph this wedding for Becca and Andy last December! As we approach their first wedding anniversary we are finally getting around to blogging about this exquisite Christmas wedding that delighted us as photographers so goodness knows how much their guests enjoyed it – it was spectacular!
The day started at Becca’s and Andy’s cottage not too far from their church where Becca and the girls were getting ready for the big day ahead. Andy was close by at a friend’s house with all of the chaps, also prepping for the day. It was a bitterly cold day with a hard frost which was still evident when we arrived at St Peters Church in Bromyard. However extreme weather conditions make for gorgeous photographs so we embraced the challenges of the cold weather and took some stunning photographs of the wedding rings out in the cold!
Becca and the girls arrived in a fleet of Range Rovers to the Church where Andy and friends and family were waiting her arrival on the arm of her Father. The ceremony was conducted by their friend and Vicar from London which added such a personal touch to the day. Andy is a great musician and had composed a piece for Becca which was played on the flute by his brother (a very talented family!) and a fan fare for their wedding day. Keeping with the Christmas theme this lovely couple walked (or rather danced) out of the church to ‘Hark The Herald’ by the Pentatonix!
We all them travelled across to Stanbrook Abbey for their wedding reception. The grandeur of this dramatic early 16th century former monastery with its spine tingling stone cloisters to the Gothic stained-glass windows provided the perfect backdrop for this perfect winter wedding. We were delighted to once again be awarded industry awards for the two images from this wedding that we submitted.
