What a fabulous celebration at Over Barn for Sam and Sam following their sun drenched wedding in Mauritius. The weather was rather chilly back here in Gloucestershire by comparison and it was the first very cold evening of the winter which I think took us all a little bit by surprise! However this fun loving couple threw a fabulous wedding party for their friends and family back here in the UK at Over Barn just on the outskirts of Gloucester.
We photograph a lot of winter weddings as we are known for our lighting abilities and the understanding of light even in the darkest of venues. Barns can be particularly dark especially in the winter so we took our lighting with us that enabled us to take the family photographs inside the Barn as well as the beautiful photographs of Sam and Sam later that evening outside. Thank you Sam and Sam for indulging us when it was bitterly cold and very very dark that night!
They brought the sunshine of Mauritius back to the UK with a laptop showing their wedding photographs, bright coloured flowers cheering up the cold evening in jam jars and vases around Over Barn, and even a donut bar – what a cracking idea! Props were available for DIY photo booth fun and accents of travels added a holiday feel to the party topped off with live sets from Sam’s Father’s band – Quick Exit.
