Earlier in the year I was recommended to Richard and Marie by Lords of the Manor to be their wedding photographer for what was to be the most intimate and romantic day for them both. As their plans became clearer I realised that this was to be the smallest wedding I had ever photographed. It was to be the bride and groom, with two witnesses (Michael and Hanna from Lords of the Manor), the two registrars, and me! To be one of just seven on the day including the bride and groom was a true honour and what was even more magical was that they had told no one except for their nearest and dearest the day before but by which point they had driven from Yorkshire and were firmly ensconced at Lords of the Manor in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Spending time with this lovely couple both before, during, and after their wedding ceremony was a delight; after chatting over the telephone in the run up to the wedding day it was like being there with long standing friends! Richard and Marie walked into the Garden Room together where their ceremony was held and exchanged wedding rings from Cartier in a ceremony presided over by registrar Jean. Following their ceremony they then retired to the drawing room to live chat with their children – the joys of modern technology!
We then went out into the quintessentially English grounds of Lords of the Manor for their photographs before I left them to enjoy lunch as Mr and Mrs. It was a truly wonderful time and the smallest wedding I have ever photographed yet so romantic and absolutely perfect. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Harrison!
Here are a few of the photographs from Richard’s and Marie’s wedding at Lords of the Manor… enjoy…!
