A Heavenly Hare & Hounds Wedding

Hare And Hounds Westonbirt wedding photographer

This gorgeous couple met online back in 2011, a decade before their big day! They met for a drink and the rest as they say is history.

It was a late spring wedding well worth the wait as Georgina and Adam who both live in Swindon, were married in the pretty countryside grounds of the Hare & Hounds at Westonbirt.

A little gentle encouragement

Neither Georgina or Adam were huge fans of having their photographs taken, but with a little gentle encouragement and guidance they posed like pros!

This was such a lovely family wedding, full of love and laughter and so many smiles.

One of the lovely things about smaller weddings as a wedding photographer is that you get the time to engage with all the guests.

You also have the time and calmness to take gorgeous portraits of parents and other family members which are not possible during a larger and busier wedding.

Timeless and elegant

Timeless and elegant are the words I would use to describe this beautiful wedding. The perfect couple who I loved working with, a wonderful gathering of friends and family, and the perfect venue for a quintessentially Cotswold wedding.

Here in their own words is their Wedding Story for you to enjoy…

Why did you choose your venue?

“We’d been to the venue a few times and loved it every time so when we finally decided to actually get married it had to be the Hare and Hounds.”

How long did it take you to plan your wedding?

“5 months, it was so easy no stress and I loved the planning.”

Tell me about the Groomswear?

“Adam wore a blue suit with a pocket watch I had engraved for him.”

Tell me about your Ronald Joyce wedding dress…

“I loved my dress, I’ve worn it like 4 times since the wedding, just popped into the kitchen with it on. It was a lace dress with a lot of detail on, I truly felt like a princess.”

Did everything go to plan?

“Yes, it was perfect.”

What piece of music did you walk down the aisle to?

We had Over and Over Again by Nathan Skyes”

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

“Getting Married!”

Who popped the big question and how did they propose?

“Adam popped the question, I came home from work on a Friday and Adam wouldn’t let me in the house and said lets go for a drink, little did I know he was whisking me off to one of our favourite hotels, Celtic Manor in Wales, he had packed all my clothes and make up.

It was Christmas time, and before going to dinner, he said he had an early Christmas present I turned round, and he was on one knee.

The funny thing is whilst we were driving I twigged we were going somewhere and got out my phone and took a photo of us and jokingly said “I’ll get one before the proposal” but I was completely joking I had no idea what he had planned, Adams face is in the photo is priceless as he was in fact going to propose.”

What made you choose me as your wedding photographer?

“Well, you were so friendly and enthusiastic about our wedding and we hadn’t even met. You also made us feel really comfortable.”

What advice would you give anyone planning their big day?

“Just enjoy it don’t stress.”

Was there an inspiration or theme for your wedding?

Not really, but I wanted greens and whites and a woodsy feel.”

What kind of cake did you go for?

We had a two tier semi naked cake which was white chocolate and raspberry which was amazing.”

What did you have for your wedding breakfast?

We had prawn cocktail, beef for main and then Eton mess for dessert.”
