Penny’s and Tom’s seriously stylish Brympton House wedding

An absolutely gorgeous summer wedding to brighten a really dark and cold November day!

Penny and Tom were married in serious style at Brympton House in Somerset on July 4th this year.

I met this lovely couple through a recommendation and as they are London based got to met them some months later when we went to Brympton House for their pre shoot; giving me a fabulous opportunity to check out this wonderful house and its grounds.

Brympton House t has been described as the 'most beautiful house in England' and I have to say I concur! Architectural authority and documentor of British country houses Christopher Hussey described Brympton d'Evercy as "The most incomparable house in Britain, the one which created the greatest impression and summarises so exquisitely English country life qualities" . Today Brympton House is still essentially a private residence and hired out to those lucky few for their special days.

Here is their wedding blog with a selection of images from their big day…

"Wow" is the first thought when you arrive at the foot of the driveway to Brympton House!

Inside the Great Hall Penny and Tom had styled the area in the colours that ran through their wedding day and included photographs from their pre shoot in gold frames…

Meanwhile in the bridal suite; Penny and her bridesmaids were getting ready…

One very stylish and beautiful bride…

Penny's bouquet was made of orchids…

Tom was on the other side of the grounds of Brympton House greeting their guests as they arrived and spending time with his groomsmen before the ceremony…

Inside the ceremony room in Castle House…

The big moment has arrived as Penny escorted by her Brother and her bridesmaids make their way to the ceremony…

I love this moment – there's such a quiet air of excitement as the Bride makes her entrance…

As Penny and Tom exited Castle House as Mr and Mrs they were showered in rose petals in the July sunshine…

Guests spilled out onto the lawns to enjoy the summer sunshine as we started the official photographs with this incredible backdrop…

Penny, Tom and I then snuck off for twenty minutes for their official photographs as Mr and Mrs!

Before making our way back to the House for Penny and Tom to catch up with their friends and family.

In the Ballroom the Tie The Knot Team had been very busy creating the most elegant yet vibrant wedding breakfast set up…

Guests made their way into this beautiful ball room for speeches and dinner followed by cutting of this incredible four tier wedding cake!

After dinner and as the sun started to set on a glorious picture perfect summer wedding day, Penny and Tom and their guests made their way across to Stables Bar for the evening entertainment…

Their first dance L.O.V.E was sung for them by Penny's dear friend and bridesmaid…

Many congratulations to Penny and Tom – absolutely loved photographing your wedding day!
