Here’s the third of the four bronze bar awards for wedding photography won this month and awarded by the Guild of Photographers.
I enter these awards as the entries are assessed by a full Panel of highly experienced Judges who grade them in accordance with international judging criteria. This means that they are judging them at national competition level, looking at them with a critical technical eye rather than an emotional eye.
A Bronze Award is such an accolade and having achieved a Silver previously I am aiming for another!
Wedding photography however as a genre is challenging when it comes to selection for awards. You can’t sit and wait and wait and wait for that perfect moment. You document what is happening in front of you and around you for the couple you are working with as for me its about their day and not what awards I can win. So any award winners are an absolute bonus!
I hope you love this image of Becca and Dan at Birtsmorton Court as much as I do…
