For many years I’ve worked alongside some fabulous Registrars and Celebrants here in the Cotswolds who have officiated at the most beautiful of weddings.

The ‘Heart of the Cotswolds’ are independent celebrants who can help you plan, rehearse and will of conduct your wedding ceremony for you. They are slightly different from vicars, priests and local authority registrars because they’re not bound by any religious or legal constraints.
This means that your wedding ceremony can be truly bespoke. No restrictions on what you can include and anything goes! Your choice of location, music, readings and vows that will make your wedding day that little bit extra special.
You will still of course need to register your marriage to make it legal, but that’s simple to do and they can also help you with that.
The message I hear often from my couples who use an independent celebrant is that they do because of the freedom to choose and the personal touch. So for example if you have chosen to get married at a venue and therefore are having a civil wedding did you know that you would not be allowed to have a religious reading? You may want this and this is where independent celebrants really come into their own. Tailoring your wedding ceremony around you and only you. You also know exactly who will be turning up on the day to lead your ceremony. Its a win win!
The Heart of the Cotswolds are able to help at many venues which are not licensed for use by the Registration Service such as village halls, beautiful natural settings or even your back garden!
‘The ceremony you want, where and when you want it.’
Like me they absolutely love what they do! There is no other job like it. Who doesn’t love going to a wedding?!
