#ThrowBackThursday and a lovely reminder of a beautiful spring wedding at Cripps Barn a few years ago for the gorgeous Christina and Luke. And what prompted me you might ask to think of this wedding in particular…? Well a couple of weeks ago two became three when their first child was born. Last week they came across to the Studio for his newborn photo shoot. And yes of course I got a cuddle from the newest member of the Webb family!
So lets roll it back to 2013…
One of the first things I noted when I met Christina was that she was so incredibly creative. I didn’t have my own Studio back then so I visited them at home for their pre wedding meets. There were so many pretty and creative elements and details planned for their wedding day and I’ve tried to feature as many as possible in this #ThrowbackThursday blog. Classic and elegant ideas that don’t date and so are as relevant today as they were six years ago.
The Church of St Mary in the quintessentially English setting of Bibury was the setting for the wedding of this lovely couple.
The bridesmaids and flower girls arrived in a vintage VW Camper van and Christina arrive with her Father in a vintage VW Beetle!
Nikki’s Notes… I love the image on the right (above) as Luke looks Christina up and down as she arrives at the top of the aisle! He’s absolutely delighted! Such a cute photograph!
Such a look of love below…
The lovely Erol – how I enjoyed working with this gentleman. Always such fun and always so helpful. We made a good team when I photographed weddings at St Mary’s!
Nikki’s Notes…One of the lovely things about living and working in the Cotswolds is the incredible scenery on tap! Another reason why so many UK destination weddings are here in the Cotswolds. Bibury has a World Heritage Site all of its own and of course we made time in the schedule to stop…
The sun came out as Christina and Luke arrived at Cripps Barn for their wedding receptions and celebrations…
I just love this image below of Christina and Luke really laughing. It was only when I saw them last week that they told me what Luke had said to make Christina laugh. Well I never!!!! Very funny but not repeatable for such an elegant bride!
Nikki’s Notes… There were so many exquisite details. I’ve selected a few of the images to share with you all. Luke and Christina collected vintage china for their wedding breakfast. Such a lovely thought; they send me a vintage cup and saucer from their wedding day as a thank you – I still have it to this day!
I think that the details at a wedding are so incredibly important which is why I always make time in the photography plans to photograph them. You will have put a lot of thought, and time, and lets be blunt…money, into creating the perfect wedding set up. I believe its so important to capture these details as part of your Wedding Story.
The Receiving Line was great fun to photograph!
Or should I say ‘cakes’! Christina, Luke and their families and friends brought different home made cakes for the cake table. Reminiscent of a country summer cricket tea! They sat perfectly alongside the wedding cake and gave guests a choice of cakes to have with their after dinner coffee.
A Fun Photo Booth…
