Photography for Small Businesses
Photography for Small Businesses
“What an informative and energising morning spent with Nikki in the comfortable surroundings of her country studio with coffee and cake on tap to keep the energy levels up! Imagery is so important to my business in an age where online is the first place customers look. But like many businesses with an ever changing product line of one off pieces I don’t have the budgets that big retailers have for photography and so I needed to learn how to take good quality images to keep my site up to date and looking professional. Nikki taught me key composition techniques and how to style my products for images which I now understand is different to styling at an event. Things look very different through a lens! The practical session and work book (which I got to take home!) included some cheeky tricks of the trade and what was so helpful was that Nikki first took the time to understand my brand and customer base was key to helping me create the images I needed for my website. Nikki is an extremely knowledgeable teacher of both photography and branding which makes this a must do course for anyone running a small business. It was well worth the investment.”

½ day course (09.30 – 13.00) at the Country Studio
One-to-one training with Nikki
Imagery is critical when selling products online and whilst I would always recommend hiring a professional photographer for key images and shoots I also understand that there are times when this is not possible due to timescales or budgets and therefore you need to understand how to take such images yourself in a timely manner.
Aimed at: small businesses with ever changing product lines, small enterprises without the budgets to hire a professional product photographer on a regular basis, businesses selling on Etsy and similar sites, businesses using social media for their sales leads.
You will need to have a digital camera and know how to use it properly. This is not a course in how to use your camera. If unsure please bring the manual with you. For demonstration purposes Nikki will be using Canon cameras.
We will cover the following in this ½ day training session:
An overview of your business and your brand including mapping your customer journey
