12th months ago on March 10th I photographed the wedding of Richard and Marie at Lords of the Manor in Upper Slaughter. What made this wedding so special was that I was the only “guest”. This lovely couple had come to Lords of the Manor, just the two of them, to be married in the most intimate of ceremonies. Michael and Hanna of Lords of the Manor were the two witnesses, two of our fabulous Gloucestershire Registrars conducted the ceremony, and then there was me!
The few hours I spent with them recording their wedding day for them to later share with family and friends was such an honour. To be that one person who was there to witness and document their wedding story for them is a huge deal and so when they decided to come back to Lords of the Manor this weekend to celebrate their first wedding anniversary they invited me over for a coffee and a catch up. It was absolutely wonderful to see them both a year on to the day and to share once again in such a special occasion. Driving all the way down to the Cotswolds from Yorkshire it is obvious how special Lords of the Manor is to them (and I must confess its one of my favourite venues too!).
And of course I took my camera and we replicated a few of the photographs we took a year ago to the day! To read their wedding story CLICK HERE.
I hope to see them both again soon; Mr NKP and I will definitely be stopping in for a coffee next time we are up in Yorkshire. In the mean time check out the ‘Rich ‘n a lil bit of Chris’ show on 5 Towns Radio. Fridays at 16.00.
